Abstract
Tema ovog diplomskog rada jest opis multicast mrežnog sustava. Rad je podijeljen na tri temeljne cjeline. U prvoj cjelini rada govori se općenito o multicast mrežnim sustavima, te se navode njihove karakteristike i temeljna obilježja i uspoređuje se pojam multicasta s unicastom. U drugome dijelu rada govori se o IP multicastu (Internet protocol multicast) – o njegovom korištenju, adresiranju, IGMP-u (Internet Group Management Protocol) te o vrstama algoritama i protokola za usmjeravanje. Posljednji dio rada govori o prijenosu televizijskih programa uz pomoć interneta što uključuje multicast vrstu prijenosa. U zaključku se navode krajnja razmišljanja i zaključci, a u popisu literature se abecednim popisom prikazuju svi izvori literature korišteni za pisanje ovoga rada.
